In China, semi-dull FDY70D/24F and FDY40D prices were both up US cent 1 a kg in the second week of June.
Nylon DTY 70D/24F prices were flat while 30D/10F prices were up US cent 1 a kg on the week.
Nylon staple fiber 1.5D fell during the week while monofilament 30D prices were down US cents 4 a kg on the week.
Nylon filament yarn prices moderated to a lesser extent with most goods firm in view of stable nylon chip. Otherwise, prices hike met with some resistance.
With low operating intentions against weak buying interest, the supply demand fundamentals were under pressure.
Downstream, warp‐knitting, weaving and AJ covering sector witnessed moderate liquidity. However, circular‐knitting mills, lacing mills and covering mills reduced operating rate lacking new orders. As a result, nylon yarn makers faced increased sales pressure.
In non‐textile sectors, demand was lackluster in staple fiber, fishing‐net yarn and monofilament market.
