Facilities certified to the Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) have expanded to 64 countries. New figures show there are now 5,760 certified facilities, an increase of 14.6%, with more than two million workers reported in 2018. GOTS certification covers the processing of certified organic fibers along the entire supply chain from field to finished product.
Countries and regions with the largest growth in percentage in 2018 in GOTS certification were: • Bangladesh (+29%),• North America (+25%),• Pakistan (+23%),• South Korea (+23%).
