Suryalakshmi Cotton Mills manufactures world class cotton and blended yarns has restored production operations at Denim division which is located near Ramtek, Nagpur District in state of Maharashtra, from March 09, 2015 consequent on the resolution of the labour disputes.

Earlier, in January the company had suspended its production operations at Denim division due to labour unrest.

Suryalakshmi’s denim plant ranks among the best in the world. The blow room line, cards and draw frames are from Trutzchler. Autocore open end are of schalafhorst.

Suryalakshmi Cotton Mills denim plant at Ramtek near Nagpur, Maharashtra which is equipped with the state of the art machines to produce world class having a capacity to produce 40 million meters of denim per annum has suspended production operations due to labour unrest.

The Company is negotiating with the Workers Union and is reasonably confident of settling the issue at an early date. The Company shall inform the Stock Exchange immediately on restoration of the denim operations in Nagpur .

Prices of polyester yarn raw material MEG and PTA on rise in domestic market

Indian polyester yarn makers are witnessing drop in their margins by about 10-15 percent due to rise in raw material prices by Rs.10-15 a kg in the domestic market. In the domestic market, polyester yarn raw materials prices stand at Rs 115-120 a kg, against Rs 100 a kg three months ago. Prices in the international market stand at Rs 110 a kg.
