As overall exports, consumption and production of jute is facing a gradual drop the Pakistan Jute Mills Association (PJMA) Secretary General Muhammad Younus has called for the immediate attention of the government. Pakistan Jute Mills Association (PJMA) has urged the government of Pakistan to follow the measures adopted by Bangladesh government to support its Jute sack Industry. Pakistan’s government has been frequently neglecting the jute sector, which was supporting more than 125,000 people directly and indirectly.

Pakistan Jute Mills Association (PJMA) Secretary General Mohammad Younus pointed out that Bangladesh’s Appellate Division of the Supreme Court had supported their government’s decision to make use of jute bags necessary for rice packaging.
