Nylstar, Spanish filament and yarn supplier last week at the Premiere Vision showcased its ‘Ecodye’ polyamide fibre collection for autumn 2016 – winter 2017. The dope-dyed yarns use a ‘one-step’ collaboration process, where colouring is added to the polymer during its production – contrasting traditional techniques of dyeing fibres separately.

Nylstar, the worldwide provider of Nylon 6.6 yarns, believes in ongoing innovation in the apparel industry plan to increase its production capacity from 15,000 to 17,000 tons per year for its fine count, nylon 6.6 Meryl yarns by installing 21 Barmag winding machines that is expected to increase productivity and reduce waste considerably.

Nylstar will spend €1.2 million for its capacity expansion to meet the growing demand for its fine count, nylon 6.6 Meryl yarns.
