RIL launches T-shirt brand 'The Earth Tee' designed by renowned fashion designer Anita Dongre

The Earth Tee is the latest initiatives from this program to celebrate the ‘World Environment Day’. Reliance Industries, the owner of brand R|Elan, is one of the largest recycler of PET bottles in India, recycling 2.2 billion PET bottles a year.

This limited edition ‘The Earth Tee’ selected by IMG Reliance & Anita Dongre has been presented to celebrities, to join the ‘Fashion for Earth’ movement.

The British Council and IMG Reliance Ltd signed an operational alliance agreement for a project to support female artisan textiles in India. The British Council, is The UK's international organisation for educational opportunities and cultural relations. IMG Reliance Ltd, develops, markets and manages Fashion, Sports and Entertainment in India including Lakme Fashion Week.

Lakmé Fashion Week (LFW) this time had a special unveiling of ‘Made in Assam’ initiative in collaboration with the Northeast Fashion and Design Council (NFDC) as part of the theme this season to celebrate northeast India's rich heritage of crafts and textiles. The initiative is also to link northeast textiles to mainstream designer retail market.

LFW also launched a Sustainable Fashion and Indian Textiles initiative for its Winter/Festive 2016 season with fashion destination Ogaan. OGAAN brings together the biggest names in Indian fashion, with new, emerging talent.

The Lakme Fashion Week is set to start its Summer/Resort edition from March 30, where Elektro Couture, a Berlin based fashion technology house, and the world's first agency to pioneer bespoke innovative electronic wearable technology for the fashion, will make its Indian debut at the Lakme Fashion Week.

Lakme Fashion Week (LFW) is back with the winter-festive edition, a five day event which started today in Mumabi with ace designer Manish Malhotra introducing his first-ever menswear show titled The Gentlemen's Club in the form of an offsite show at Mehboob Studio on the opening day of the fashion gala with Barfi! star Ranbir Kapoor as the showstopper.

The Gentlemen's Club collection is a festive fusion of Indian and western couture, focusing on shades of emerald green and adorned with botanical motifs, said Malhotra.
