Pakistan textile incentive package disbursal to start soon

At a seminar on the ‘Ease of Doing Business in Pakistan’, Khurram Dastgir Khan, commerce minister announced that the first installment of the Rs180 billion textile incentive package will be disbursed in the coming few days as funds have been released for the purpose.

Khan said that Pakistan has been ranked as one of the top ten economies that introduced revolutionary reforms to enhance the ‘ease of doing business’ manifold.

Federal Minister for Commerce, Khurram Dastgir Khan , while inaugurating the first ever Turkmenistan-Pakistan Business Forum (TPBF) said that Pakistan was keen to improve relations with Turkmenistan and this dream could be materialized by improving connectivity between the two countries. Turkmenistan has been invited to join China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) and promote its external trade through Arabian Sea by utilizing the Pakistan’s southern port of Gwadar.

Pak-Turkey Free Trade Agreement(FTA) likely to increase export of textiles, agro and dairy products, and livestock, said Federal Minister of Commerce Khurram Dastgir Khan on Monday.

The Commerce Ministry would be conducting a pre-FTA study and hold extensive discussions with stakeholders to strike the best possible deal.
The Ministry of Commerce would be concluding all future trade agreements based upon market research and the lessons learnt from previous accords.
