Aubervilliers, north-eastern suburbs of Paris has turns into Europe's made-in-China clothing capital where traders recently opened the continent's biggest garment centre. A vast range of clothing is on offer in this town on the northern edge of the French capital where generations of Chinese have settled – and some made fortunes.

Aubervilliers has become one of the most important places for business and exchange with China in all of Europe. So they needed to organize accordingly and that’s exactly what they did, said the town's mayor, Pascal Beaudet.

Indonesian government is planning to apply existing tax allowances to labour-intensive industries that includes garment industry in an effort to reach its 2-million-a-year job-creation target. However, at the moment the allowance applies to just 129 business sectors, ranging from plantations to real estate.

Apparel Export Promotion Council (AEPC) informed Tuesday that garment exports are on the sustained path of growth with apparel exports from India having registered 17.6 percent growth in April-September 2014.

The Vietnam Ministry of Industry and Trade gives approval to the new textile and garment industry development plan 2020 which aims to achieve 55 percent localization rate by 2015 and further expected to increase to 65 percent and 70 percent by 2020 and 2030 respectively. The plan is draw to boost the industry’s growth.

Under the new plan firms specialising in fashion production as well as in the supply of related services will be positioned in urban areas while labour-intensive textile and garment firms will move to the rural areas.
