GC will provide technological know-how and support for modifying plastic waste into textile products, under the MoU. While bringing high standards to the task of reducing Thailand’s waste problems, the companies will focus on developing products that are less environmentally damaging. The business collaboration also targets at enlarging into both domestic and international markets, apart from creating high-value textile products from plastic waste.

BGMEA University of Fashion & Technology (BUFT) signed MoU with National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT), Ahemedabad, Gujarat on July 1, facilitating an academic exchange and faculty training programme. The MoU will extend the current agreement between the two universities for another five years.

The agreement was signed by Founder Chairman, Board of Trustees of BUFT Muzaffar U Siddique and textile minister of Gujarat.
