Qatar International Fashion Festival (QIFF) aims to help Pakistan’s talented designers in a mission to explore this new market and to make a platform where people can come and display their products and talent.

Sana Salman, a known designer in the fashion industry for half a decade is the brainchild of. QIFF. Sana who formed her own label Saanaz in 2010, Sana has collaborated with a lot of major names of the fashion industry and has successfully showcased them in Doha.

Soyang Europe as printers, designers and marketers has launched its own range of textile for wide and grand format printing responding to boom in demand for textile by adding new lines to its three core product ranges following parent company Soyang Technologies' investment in a new 66,000sqm production and storage facility in China.

The So-Tex range comprises 12 product lines, suitable for dye-sublimation, UV and latex printing, all of which are available in rolls of up to 3.2m wide.

Indian textile market going through a temporary phase of slothfulness

Although India saw demand for cotton yarn from China on a declining trend and the European Union market for fabrics and made-ups mired during the last four months. However, the demand for textiles would be picking up soon in India with the festival season just round the corner.
 
Drop in export demand for cotton yarn and the slowdown in the domestic market are only temporary and yarn manufacturers should not panic because of the “temporary slothfulness in the market, according to chairman of Southern India Mills’ Association (SIMA) T. Rajkumar.
