The Indian business delegation that went to China and Hong Kong with chief minister Anandiben Patel, additional chief secretary (industry and mines) Arvind Agarwal have in total inked 22 MoUs worth Rs 30,000 crore between Gujarat government, state-based industries and Chinese industries/ government organizations. Of these two were major MoUs including creation of new smart city spread over 20 sq km entailing investment of Rs 19,000 crore and industrial park.
