The congestion in ports has pushed the Southern India Mills' Association (SIMA) to tap New Mangalore Port (NPT) in Karnataka for cotton import.
According to SIMA, NPT offers excellent warehousing facilities, specially for the benefit of small and medium scale spinning mills.
