B.F.I. invest 30mn euro to expand its Meraklon Fiber Capacity

Belgium-based Beaulieu Fibres International (B.F.I.) a renowned international group with headquarters in Belgium holding a solid market position both in producing raw materials and intermediate goods and in offering an extensive range of perfectly finished floorcoverings. Indo Count Industries (ICIL) Mumbai based company engaged in spinning yarns, weaving fabrics and manufacturing textiles, and also offers cotton yarn and cotton knitted fabric on back of capacity expansion and strengthening business in the domestic market is eyeing 15-20 percent growth in business.

The company, which gets 90 percent of its revenue from exports is also looking at expanding its export markets as well strengthening presence in other markets which includes Australia, Japan, South Africa and the Middle East.

PT Sri Rejeki Isman Textile (Sritex) a leading vertically integrated textile and garment company plan to operate the new plant rayon (fiber) worth US $ 250 million or equivalent RP 3.2 trillion with a capacity of 80 thousand tons per year by next year which will reduce imports of raw materials by 30 percent. This will be the third rayon factory in Indonesia after PT Indo Bharat Rayon and PT Pacific Viscose.

LyondellBasell multiplying its ethylene capacity at the US Gulf coast

The American multinational chemical company based in Houston, Texas, LyondellBasell, plans to introduce three major projects. The company tries to multiply ethylene capacity at the U.S. Gulf coast through these growth projects.

The company’s first project is the methanol plant at Channelview, Texas which was placed into service in fourth-quarter 2013 to take advantage of low-cost natural gas from shale formations. The unit had been out of service since 2004 due to the rising cost of natural gas, the key feedstock for methanol production, the company said.
