India’s Ambassador to Egypt Sanjay Bhattacharyya inaugurated the Indian pavilion at the the Cairo Fashion and Tex Exhibition in Cairo International Convention Centre where Indian textile companies are showcasing a wide range of Indian yarn and fabric products at an exhibition in Egypt, which is a significant market in North Africa for Indian exports.

India and Egypt have a long tradition of exchanges in the textiles sector and Egypt has traditionally been one of India's most important trading partners in that region. India's Ambassador to Egypt Sanjay Bhattacharyya, while addressing a press conference ahead of the Cairo Fashion and Tex Exhibition that opens tomorrow, said that India to strengthen its collaboration in textile sector with Egypt.

As India is very well known in the market of man-made fibers and it has a very wide presence globally as India's textile industry is the second in the world.
