Where is nylon produced in the world?

Nylon fabric was first manufactured in the United States in the 20th century and the major base of production of nylon was concentrated in the US until the 1980s but with the increasing demand for the fabric, the production centre has shifted to the Asia countries like China, India, Pakistan and Indonesia. According to the report published by Statista, The United States produced about 600,000 metric tonnes of polyamide nylon in 2019 and since the other production centers have taken a lead in manufacturing it is unlikely that nylon manufacturing would come back to its native country.
