PROPYLENE

Propylene prices on the whole continued to rise in the week of 21 July. It was stable to weak in Europe, Korea and Japan. Prices rose with increased buying during the week coupled with strong crude oil and naphtha prices. Supply is expected to be tight through 2006 and 2007 and prices are expected to remain firm. As on 21 July, propylene prices FOB Korea were quoted at US$1,195-1,205 a ton FOB Korea. The FOB Japan values were at US$ 1,185-1,195 a ton. It was priced at US$1,195-1,205 a ton in the previous week.
