Spun viscose yarn prices were stable across markets in the fourth week of October.
In China, negotiations for 30S vortex-spun yarn and siro-spun 40S of Fujian origin were steady while compact siro-spun 40S were priced at a roll over.
Order intake for core-spun yarn was good.
40s compact siro-spun yarn in Jiangsu were down US cent 1 a kg while 30s spun viscose in Xiaoshan were up in local currency but down US cent 1 a kg on the week.
In India, demand in domestic market was modest while export demand was down.
In September, export was valued at US$7.62 million and volumes at 2.59 million kg. This was US cents 29 lower than a year ago.
In Pakistan, viscose yarn markets were mute and prices rolled over.
