In China, mainstream prices of 40s compact siro-spun yarn in Jiangsu remained unchanged while 30s spun viscose in Xiaoshan were up US cents 3 a kg in the second week of February.
Viscose spun yarn prices were slightly rising in China however, in line with a recent rebound in VSF market. Demand for imported yarns fell post holidays, following a new decline of yarn prices on the domestic market.
In India, although viscose yarn prices remained stable in domestic market, export prices were sliding that week. This could probably due to the absence of Chinese buyers, with new year holidays in full swing.
30s viscose spun yarn prices were stable on the week in Indore market as VSF prices rolled over.
In Pakistan, recovery in demand was seen from the European market, as buyers were increasingly sending requests. Meanwhile domestic viscose yarn prices rolled over.
30s viscose yarn price was unchanged in Karachi market.
