In China, prices of 40s compact siro-spun yarn in Jiangsu inched up US cents 3 a kg in the first week of April while 30s spun viscose in Xiaoshan rolled over on the week. Offers for ring-spun 30s yarn were up US cent 1 a kg.
Spun viscose yarn prices were largely flat in China as liquidity for ring‐spun and rotor‐spun yarn was lacklustre. However, performance of vortex‐spun and siro‐spun yarn was steady. Sales of compact & siro‐spun yarn 60s and 80s remained hot.
In India, 30s viscose spun yarn prices were further raised by INR1 a kg (up US cents 3) in Indore market. Viscose yarn prices were up reflecting the hike in VSF prices in the last week of March.
In Pakistan, viscose yarn prices stayed firm in the week due to a recovery in domestic demand and increasing export to China. The current price hike in VSF may reflect in coming weeks. 35s viscose yarn price was unchanged and 40s were stable in Karachi market.
