In Jiangsu, 40s compact sirospun yarn prices were up US cents 13 a kg in the third week of July while 30s spun viscose in Xiaoshan was up US cents 8 a kg on the week. Offers for ring-spun 40s yarn were up US cents 8 a kg on the week. Spun viscose yarn prices increased sharply on the week in China in line with the hike in VSF values. Offers for siro‐spun, compact and ring‐spun ascended by US cents 8-13 a kg on the week. Trading prices and volumes also picked up as inventory at yarn makers were digested as a result.
In Pakistan, market activities remained firm on the viscose yarn markets over a rise in orders from converters. 35s viscose yarn prices were up PakRs2 per pound (up US cents 6 a kg) and 40s were up PakRs3 a pound (up US cents 8 a kg) in Karachi market.
In India, viscose yarn prices inched up further, largely due to rise in export price. In June, average unit value realization gained 10% YoY although volumes declined 6% during the month. 30s viscose spun yarn prices inched up again by INR1 a kg (up US cents 2 on the week) in Indore market.
