In Jiangsu, 40s compact sirospun yarn prices remained unchanged in the second week of June while 30s spun viscose in Xiaoshan rolled over on the week. Offers for ring-spun 30s yarn were however, down US cents 3 a kg during the week.
Spun viscose yarn market activity in China softened a bit due to Dragon Boat Festival holidays. Discussions for ring‐spun and sirospun yarns remained flat and prices remained unchanged on the week.
In India, although VSF prices remained flat at firm level, viscose yarn prices were flat in INR terms but moved up more than 1% on the week, implying stronger currency. 30s viscose spun yarn prices inched up INR1 a kg (up US cents 3 due to strong INR) in Indore market.
In Pakistan, viscose yarn prices retreated PakRs1-2 per pound during the week, implying that demand was very weak on the domestic market. 35s viscose yarn prices edged down PakRe1 per pound (down US cent 1) and 40s fell PakRs2 a pound (down US cents 3) in Karachi market.
