In China, offers for ring‐spun 30s weaving yarn in Xiaoshan were up US cents 4 a kg in the second week of February, while compact siro‐spun 40s yarn in Jiangsu was up US cents 3 a kg on the week.
Spun viscose yarn makers gradually returned in China, but offers mostly inched up from the pre-holiday levels due to cautious mood among the makers. Fresh deals were gradually following up.
In Pakistan, viscose yarn prices gained as VSF prices surged in the week. VSF prices are still expected to increase in China which could boost yarn prices on the domestic market in Pakistan. 35s viscose yarn prices were up US cents 8 a kg while 40s rose US cents 5 a kg in Karachi market.
In India, viscose yarn prices were flat as VSF prices rolled over while cotton markets remained sluggish providing marginal support to viscose yarn markets.
