In Xiaoshan, 30s spun viscose prices in Xiaoshan inched up US cents 4 a kg in the last week of August while 40s compact sirospun yarn prices in Jiangsu were flat on the week.
Spun viscose yarn prices inched up in China while they were largely stable across Pakistan and India. In China, 30s yarns prices inched up while discussions for siro-spun 40s yarn rolled over last week’s numbers or just below, with lackluster liquidity. Core‐spun yarn offers ascended somewhat in Hubei while prices were stable in Fujian.
In Pakistan, similar sentiment prevailed as VSF prices were hiked in early August and were quickly reflected in downstream viscose yarn prices. Since then, yarn prices did not move. However, 35s and 40s viscose yarn prices were both up US cents 2 per pound due to stronger currency.
In India, with VSF prices generally rolling over, provided cost support to yarn makers. 30s viscose spun yarn prices rolled over in Indore market.
