In China, offers for ring‐spun 30s weaving yarn in Xiaoshan fell US cent 1 a kg in the third week of April while compact siro‐spun 40s yarn in Jiangsu declined down US cent 1 a kg on the week.
Viscose spun yarn prices edged down slightly thus stopping the wild south move seen in the previous weeks. Discussions for ring‐spun 30s yarn and siro‐spun 40s yarn remained at almost same levels. Core‐spun yarn market also went stable, with sales seen improving. With VSF bottoming, yarn prices are likely to go range‐bound next week.
In India, viscose yarn prices remained steady on the week, with raw material still rolling over while demand was still lusterless.
In Pakistan, with stable VSF prices, domestic trade and prices in viscose yarn markets however remained unchanged due to seasonal demand from the processors.
