40s compact sirospun yarn prices in Jiangsu fell US cents 4 a kg in the third week of May while 30s spun viscose in Xiaoshan remained unchanged on the week. Offers for ring-spun 30s yarn rolled over during the week.
In China, spun viscose yarn prices were weak, with thin trading amid obvious off‐season sentiment. Discussions for Xiaoshan‐origin ring‐spun 30s yarn were down while discussions for Fujian‐origin siro‐spun 40s yarn rolled over, with firm trading prices.
In India, viscose spun yarn prices remained unchanged on support of export demand, which surged close to 30% year on year in April. Average prices realisation was marginally up during the period, giving confidence to exporters. Domestic demand was modest. 30s viscose spun yarn prices were down US cent 1 a kg (due to weak INR) in Indore market.
In Pakistan, viscose yarn prices remained relatively stable on firm VSF prices. 35s viscose yarn prices rolled over on the week and 40s were stable in Karachi market.
