In China, 30s spun viscose prices fell in US cents 6 a kg in Xiaoshan in the second week of November while 40s compact sirospun yarn prices in Jiangsu were down US cents 7 a kg on the week.
Viscose spun yarn markets continued the downtrend in China as discussions for ring‐spun 30s yarn and siro‐spun 40s yarn mostly moved down. Besides, offtake of vortex‐spun and rotor‐spun yarn weakened sharply, with more offloading activities seen.
In Pakistan, VSF prices declined for the third consecutive week on cue from China. This has been pushing viscose yarn prices down. Viscose yarn prices fell 2.6% on the week taking the fall in past three weeks to 5.7%. 35s viscose yarn prices fell PakRs4 per pound (down US cents 6 a kg) while 40s moderated PakRs2 a pound (down US cent 1 a kg) in Karachi market.
In India, VSF prices have more or less remained stagnant supporting viscose yarn markets to maintain flat prices.
