In China, offers for 32s polyester yarn in Shengze were up US cent 1 a kg in the fourth week of May. In Zhejiang, 32s weaving yarn inched up US cents 3 a kg on the week.
Spun polyester yarn markets in China followed the rise in PSF values, although slightly. Transaction was tolerable and some specs saw healthy transaction amid moderate sentiment. Following huge purchases in early in the week, the overall polyester market went into weak adjustment driven by feedstock market.
In Pakistan, polyester yarn prices rolled over in line with steady PSF prices that have stopped falling but can start increasing soon due to the current rise in raw material prices.
In India, PSF prices remained unchanged on the week, supporting polyester yarn markets to some extent, since demand is hard to improve.
