In Shengze, offers for 32s polyester yarn rolled over in the second week of May and 45s were stable during the week. In Qiangqing, 32s were also steady on the week.
Spun polyester yarn offers were kept steady that week in China as producers offloaded goods at flat rate since there was no notable change in demand.
Some players saw rigid demand to replenish goods, while griege fabric producers had high inventory and little appetite for yarns.
In India, polyester yarn 30 knit yarn prices rose INR2 a kg (up US cents 3) in Ludhiana market while they remained unchanged in Indore. Spun yarn prices in India continued to rise with polyester yarn increasing INR2-3 in the week in Ludhiana market, although there was no change in PSF pricing.
In Pakistan, PSF prices stabilised and imported fibre returned back to their two weeks ago level. Thus, polyester yarn prices inched up with finer count surging sharply on the week. 30s spun polyester prices inched up PakRe1 per pound (up US cents 3 a kg) while 60s jumped PakRs3 per pound (up US cents 8 a kg).
