In Shengze, offers for 32s polyester yarn rolled over in the third week of April and 45s were stable on the week. In Qiangqing, offers for 32s were steady during the week.
Spun polyester yarn offers were stable that week in China as PSF markets kept rising and may pull up spun polyester market in coming weeks. However, terminal demand showed no sign of rebound and sale of spun polyester yarn was moderate.
Purchase of PSF was only to meet rigid demand, particularly after the additional volumes bought that week. Buyers will be more cautious going ahead.
In Pakistan, polyester yarn prices increased due to rise in PSF prices a few weeks ago, but yarn makers could not pass on the higher costs to customers. 30s and 60s spun polyester prices were up US cents 3 a kg due to weaker currency.
In India, polyester yarn price movement was solely on demand supply situation where prices gained in Indore market but moderated in Ludhiana. Polyester yarn 30 knit yarn prices fell INR2 a kg (down US cents 3) in Ludhiana market while they were up INR1 a kg (up US cents 2) in Indore.
