In Pakistan, 30s spun polyester prices in October were up PakRs2 on the month at PakRs110 per pound or US$2.33 a kg (up US cents 2).
Polyester yarn prices in Pakistan increased on the domestic markets, with a recovery in demand from the textile producers and the rebound of cotton prices.
Polyester spun yarn prices in China were largely steady in the fourth week of October, and some deals finally concluded. Demand for spun polyester yarn was thin, and some sporadic lots changed hands.
In China, polyester yarn 32s in Shengze was offered stable at 11.20 Yuan a kg (US$1.76 a kg) while 45s were at 12.20 Yuan a kg (US$1.92 a kg). In Qianqing, offers for 32s polyester yarn were at 11.00-11.20 Yuan a kg (US$1.73-1.76 a kg).
In India, polyester yarn prices rolled over since PSF prices remained unchanged since early September.
Meanwhile, polyester spun yarns export aggregated US$5.80 million and volumes at 2.47 million kg.
Polyester yarn 30 knitting yarns prices rolled over at INR124 a kg (US$1.90 a kg), in Ludhiana market while they were steady at INR129 a kg (US$1.99 a kg) in Indore market.
