In China, offers for liquid good rose US$15 a ton in the fourth week of March while solid goods offer inched up US$10 a ton. Asian markers, the SE and FE markers gained US$20 a ton.
Caprolactum prices inched up that week on decent demand and flat feedstock benzene values. In China, liquid goods offer in spot market edged up while mainstream values for solid goods were higher at the lower end of the price range.
Offers were sparse as mainstream values for East European goods went north. Sinopec and DSM Nanjing settled their March contract for liquid at par with the nomination. Run rates of polymerization units were up and inventory level was down.
Yarn makers were also running at higher rate but had large inventory. With increased supply and recovering raw materials, Caprolactum prices will sustain the firmness on brisker demand.
