Taiwan origin 3D bright ASF tow prices rolled over at US$1.60-1.70 a kg while offers for regular products were partially at US$1.56-1.60 a kg in China.
In China, medium-length staple fiber prices were at US$1.78-2.00 a kg while cotton-type staple was at US$1.79-2.00 a kg, both rolling over from the second week.
Jilin Chemical Fiber maintained its list prices for January with 1.5D and 3D medium-length at US$2.00-2.01 a kg, while tow was at US$2.09 a kg and top at US$2.24 a kg.
Acrylic staple fibre prices mostly rolled over in China and India while they declined sharply in Pakistan.
In China, offers were maintained stable while upstream acrylonitrile offers dropped continuously, easing pressure on margin of ASF producers. Mainstream producers rolled over offers, while downstream buyers maintained hand-to-mouth procurement.
Demand for ASF turned a bit weak, but low prices and a slight replenishment ahead of festival season assured some liquidity.
In India, terminal demand was soft amid stable prices. ASF markets are expected to roll over in coming week. However, ASF offers were down US cent 1 a kg due to weak INR.
In Pakistan, 1.2D ASF prices declined US cents 29 a kg on the week.
