In the first week of February, Taiwan origin 3D bright ASF tow prices rolled over at US$1.60-1.70 a kg while offers for regular products were partially at US$1.56-1.60 a kg.
In China, medium-length staple fiber prices were at US$1.79-2.01 a kg while cotton-type staple was at US$1.80-2.01 a kg, both rolling over from last week.
Jilin Chemical Fiber maintained its February list prices for 1.5D and 3D medium-length at US$2.00-2.01 a kg, while tow was at US$2.09 a kg and top at US$2.24 a kg.
Acrylic fiber markets saw prices mostly remain stable amid modest discussions. Downstream acrylic yarn prices were briefly stable seeing modest terminal demand.
In China, mills maintained poor run rates, while their buying interest for ASF was passable due to low prices.
In Taiwan, offers for some regular products dropped due to lower domestic values while trading remained muted, given thin buying interest of downstream mills amid insipid yarn performance.
In India, acrylic fiber market were calm and prices were stable.
In Pakistan, discussion atmosphere is lacklustre and prices generally rolled over. 1.2D ASF prices remained unchanged from last week.
