Taiwan origin 3D bright ASF tow offers were stable in the second week of March after jumping US cents 15 a kg in the first week. In China, medium-length fiber and cotton-type staple ASF prices rolled over during the week. Jilin Chemical Fiber raised its list prices for March by US cents 7 a kg.
Acrylic staple fibre prices generally rolled over after a huge hike last week on cost support. Although, acrylonitrile prices jumped further that week, ASF producers were cautious to raise offer for now.
In China, domestic ASF prices rolled over for the moment. As demand gradually weakened, downstream mills will focus more on export market. However, with limited export demand, it is inevitable for the sentiment to cool down later.
In India, ASF producers’ prices remained unchanged while in Pakistan, prices rolled over.
