In China, some plants will take maintenance together in April, and the pressure from cost and inventory will relieve to some extent at that time. Downstream mills showed limited interest for production given thin order intakes, and thus only purchased ASF hand to mouth volume. In turn, buying atmosphere for ASF turned weak.
In Pakistan, ASF prices were seen lifted that week amid relatively stable market fundamentals. In India, prices rolled over with no inventory pressure that week. Overall, market sentiment is expected to hold steady in coming week with prices tending to remain unchanged.
