Acrylic staple fiber markets and prices were stable in Asian markets that week. In China, trading atmosphere was lackluster due to Lunar New Year holidays and offers for cotton-type staple fiber and medium-length staple fiber were pegged at a roll over. Markets sentiment is likely to pick up after the Spring Festival.
In India, offers remained unchanged on the week.
In Pakistan, 1.2D ASF prices rolled over on the week.
Overall demand was lusterless. ASF producers will continue to suffer some margin losses given the rise in acrylonitrile cost that week.
