In China, medium-length fiber and cotton-type staple ASF prices were flat in the third week of March. Taiwan origin 3D bright ASF tow offers were stable during the week.
Acrylic staple fibre prices were range bound that week despite heavy cost pressure asserted by rising acrylonitrile cost. ASF producers have continuously raised their indications to improve margins. On the other hand, the upcoming off season resulted in thin demand. Downstream mills purchased from hand to mouth amid low buying interest.
In India, normal sale/ production status was seen normal as of now, as producers raised offers early this month pushed by firming cost.
In Pakistan, ASF prices were maintained at previous week’s level. With upcoming off season, producers will be forced to maintain prices stable via production cutbacks.
