In China, offers for cotton-type staple fiber were stable at US$1.94-2.06 a kg while medium-length staple were at US$1.95-2.06 a kg in the last week of November.
Jilin Chemical Fiber maintained its list prices for November with 1.5D at US$2.06 a kg, 3D medium-length at US$2.05 a kg, tow at US$2.13 a kg and top at US$2.27 a kg.
Taiwan origin 3D bright ASF tow prices were pegged stable at US$1.65-1.80 a kg.
Acrylic staple fiber market sentiment was fair as downstream maintained hand-to-mouth procurement, but producers faced negative margins due to rising acrylonitrile cost.
In China, although offers for regular products partially dropped, sidelined stance still prevailed, with expectation of lower prices in domestic market.
Downstream acrylic yarn makers saw limited order intakes due to lackluster terminal demand, and thus operated at low run rates.
In India, acrylic fiber market liquidity was slow as demand was not favorable on the back of low buying interest. ASF offers were down US cents 2 a kg due to weak INR.
In Pakistan, acrylic yarn market maintained hand-to-mouth procurement, and discussion atmosphere was moderate. 1.2D ASF prices edged down US cents 2 a kg.
