In China, medium-length fibre and cotton-type ASF prices declined US cents 6 a kg at the lower end of the price range in the second week of June. Sinopec Chemicals cut its June list prices for ASF by US cents 3-12 a kg.
Acrylic staple fibre prices were seen declining in China that week, after one major cut indications, amid quiet atmosphere. ASF producers still had faced meager margins, while feedstock ACN prices also remained weak but did not ease cost pressure on ASF market. Downstream mills mainly replenished volumes on need‐ basis, providing thin demand support to ASF market.
In Pakistan, ASF prices were range bound despite insipid demand and sluggish sales.
In India, ASF market fundamental remained less favorable as demand turned thinner and prices rolled over.
