Asian acrylonitrile marker climbed further US$10 a ton CFR Far East Asia and Southeast Asia in the second week of November.
In China, offers for offshore cargoes stood at US$1,000-1,030 a ton.
Acrylonitrile prices rose in Asian markets on tight supply and higher prices in China. However the CFR Southeast Asia and CFR South Asia markers remained unchanged on the week amid weak buying sentiment as end-users reduced operating rates or delayed buying decisions on expectations of weaker prices in January.
In US, acrylonitrile spot inched higher and export prices were talked from above US$800 a ton as the market was described as at a floor. Export prices were talked up US$5 a ton on the week.
In Europe, limited increase in acrylonitrile spot price reflected sluggish spot buying appetite. Acrylonitrile spot price inched up US$2 a ton CIF Mediterranean on the week.
