ACRYLIC CHAIN
----------------------------------------------------------
Acrylic staple fibre prices in July were down in the Asian markets of China, India, and Pakistan during the month. In China, ASF offers reacted to the recent downtrend in the raw material ACN cost this month. Downstream demand was dull as yarn producers themselves witnessed lower sales, which in turn resulted into lower procurement of acrylic fiber during the month. Supply in the market was largely stable with many plants either idled or had cut production.
In China, offers for cotton-type staple fell US cents 19 a kg and medium-length staple was down US cents 19 a kg as compared to June.

In India, cotton yarn prices were down amid sluggish demand that month. In Pakistan, cotton yarn prices were talked down amid muted trading during the month.
In China, 32s carded cotton yarn in Shengze market were down US cents 11 a kg while 21s combed were down US cents 10 as compared to June. In India, 30s combed for knitting fell US cents 15 a kg on the month.
