German fashion e-tailer Zalando, has relaunched its resale app- Zircle with added features.
Zircle, designed to be a peer to peer marketplace, will now offer free shipping via DHL. The app will soon include the ability to buy and sell men's clothing, which is present exclusively available for female clothing.
Along with the ability to return Zircle purchased clothing to Zalando in exchange for a gift voucher, the platform will also integrate Zalando order history, making any things purchased on Zalando instantly available for resale on the app.
Zalando seeks to develop a more circular model with Zircle. By 2023, the business intends to have extended the life of at least 50 million of its fashion products, according to one of its commitments. In 2020, Zircle claims to have prolonged the lives of more than 340,000 goods.
The 'wardrobe' app, which debuted in Germany in 2018 under the name 'wardrobe,' is now available in 13 of Zalando's 23 European regions.
Torben Hansen, Zalando's vice president of re-commerce, said that with the relaunch of their Zircle app, they've reached another milestone in providing clients with the most relevant pre-owned fashion experience available. They’re the first platform in Germany to allow customers to return things purchased from other Zircle users to Zalando.
