Saltyco, the winner of the Vogue YOOX Challenge, has developed a sustainable capsule collection with Yoox's private label, 8 by YOOX.

Saltyco's unique Biopuff substance, a plant-based fiberfill material cultivated in wetlands through regenerative agriculture and alternate water sources, eliminates the need for freshwater irrigation and reduces its use in the textile industry.

The BioPuff padding is made to trap heat and provide exceptional insulating capabilities that are comparable to goose down. The biodegradable material is lightweight and water repellent, as well as easily compostable.

A unisex Biopuff blue oversize quilted jacket, matching quilted trousers, bucket hat, an oversized padded tote bag, and a shirt are among the capsule's choices.

Saltyco's "planet-positive" textiles, which were founded in 2020 by four graduates from Imperial College London and the Royal College of Art, aim to provide a sustainable textile option while also conserving freshwater, which accounts for only 3% of the total amount of water on the world.

The company's main goals are to build whole new supply chains in the fashion industry by rethinking every stage of the garment production process, from farming to manufacturing, and to conserve fresh water by replacing it with saltwater.
