Warroad Hockey Co., known for its cut-resistant hockey apparel co-founded by NHL All-Star TJ Oshie, has announced a strategic partnership with Noble Biomaterials, a global leader in antimicrobial technology. The collaboration aims to meet the growing demand for Warroad’s TILO Baselayers, recognized as the most advanced protective baselayer in the market.
Developed with the expertise of co-founder TJ Oshie, the TILO Pro Stock Neck and Wrist Top was introduced in September 2023. This innovative gear provides 360-degree protection around the neck and forearms, crucial areas vulnerable on the hockey rink. The baselayer incorporates groundbreaking cut-resistant technology and Noble’s Ionic+® silver antimicrobial technology. The micro-mesh fabric construction helps prevent rashes and skin irritation.
The TILO baselayer includes an adjustable neck collar made with Kevlar and protective foam, designed to deflect and absorb impacts from skate blades, sticks, or elbows on players’ necks and clavicles. The built-in wrist protection is made from flexible Cutlon®, 15 times stronger than steel. The baselayer also incorporates Ionic+® antimicrobial silver technology, providing advanced protection against bacteria to minimize odor.
Noble Biomaterials specializes in developing advanced antimicrobial fabric solutions for healthcare and apparel. The company’s Ionic+® silver ions, permanently embedded into TILO’s fabric, inhibit and eliminate the growth of bacteria, addressing concerns related to odor. This collaboration ensures players benefit from advanced and long-lasting protection whenever they wear TILO baselayers.
