Vijay Textiles a Hyderabad based manufacturer of home furnishing fabric to take home fabrics to the doorstep of customers has launched a new initiative first of its kind "Furnishing on Wheels" through a vehicle with a sales representative, a tailor and a technician along with design catalogue. The concept is being test marketed in Hyderabad and regions around the city.

The company has 4 customized vehicles which shall travel around Hyderabad and Secunderabad with a capability to address 300-400 households daily with their each catalogue having 8-10 design and 5 sheds for customers to choose a design along with actual samples of home furnishing fabrics ready to cut stitched for delivery.

The objective side this initiative is to address home fabric needs of individuals customized with reference to any size as per their requirement and delivered at their doorsteps.

According to Vijay Kumar Gupta, Chairman & Managing Director of the company, they realized the need to ease the trouble of limited design and size option encountered by housewife after taking trouble of travelling to several outlets before finalising a product.

Also with the government policy related to providing affordable housing for all by 2022 under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana scheme and around 68 cities chosen for construction of houses fall under the Telangana State, the company is expecting home furnishing to benefit from this.
