Vietnam shows interest to increase bilateral trade with Pakistan

Vietnam is showing interest in increasing their bilateral trade and economic relation with Pakistan. Vietnam sees huge potential for export of textiles, leather and other products from Pakistan. Head of trade mission of Vietnam, Vu Viet Dzung during his meeting with chief executive of Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP) S M Muneer, has expressed the desire for enhancing trade volume between the two countries. The TDAP has also agreed to send a trade delegation from Pakistan to explore various sectors in Vietnam and has request the Vietnamese head of trade to make available a list of buyers in Vietnam so that Pakistani exporters could directly start approaching them. The trade volume between Pakistan and Vietnam stood at $331 million in 2013, out of which, $187m was exports while $144m was imports.
