Textile industry of Uzbekistan is considered to be one of the most dynamic and socially important sectors and ranks high among export-oriented industries of the country’s economy.

The Uzbek textile industry being traditionally focused on the manufacture and growth of cotton, silk and wool, the new research centre may facilitate developments in not only these sectors, but across a wider spectrum of textile markets further down the line.
