US’ Huntsman introduces new dye in Avitera dye range

Huntsman Textile Effects has introduced Avitera® Rose SE, a stunning bluish-red shade to their Avitera SE polyreactive dye range. The new dye is reported to surpass the best existing dyeing processes for cellulosic fibers and blends, saving large amounts of water and energy, as well as providing improved overall fastness and lower prices.

Thanks to its low-temperature and high-speed wash-off technology, Avitera Rose SE decreases the amount of water and energy used in production by up to 50%. It also has good compatibility, leveling qualities, and on-tone build-up, resulting in right-first-time performance. The low-cost formulation lowers recipe costs for medium-dark hues while reducing processing costs and eliminates reprocessing.

Lutfu Okman, vice president global revenue, Huntsman Textile Effects, said that with gorgeous, long-lasting brilliancy throughout bluish-red tones and optimal environmental and economic sustainability, the latest addition to their third-generation Avitera dyes creates new opportunities for designers and brands.

The dyes have excellent light fastness levels for the classic BLUE trichromatic element, as well as excellent overall fastness. Avitera Rose SE dyed products have the best chlorine resistance, are designed for strict Japanese and US laundry regulations, and are compatible with Huntsman’s High IQ Lasting Color Eco color-retention program. They’re perfect for red-white striped cotton knit materials because they have a low risk of cross-staining.

Bluesign Certified and suited for Standard 100 by Oeko-Tex certified textile products, the dyes are completely compliant with the most demanding industry and brand-specific restricted substance lists.
