Finishing machinery maker, Tonello, has teamed up with Candiani Denim to create a new dimension of garment finishing. O-Zone, which was just unveiled at Kingpins 24, is a significant step forward in the company’s ozone process, according to Tonello.
The company claims that at first impression, it looks like a cabinet. However, the items are placed and processed in a special cabinet, using an innovative, sustainable, and responsible technique.
The operator can configure the desired parameters using a touchscreen to achieve unique and configurable aesthetics like localized discoloration and lightening, sun-faded looks, and degradé effects.
According to Tonello, O-Zone is designed for small productions and is suitable for conducting experiments and research directly on the garment while immediately validating the results.
In a statement, Candiani said that Tonello’s innovative O-Zone cabinet is the perfect proof of how research and collaboration between premier enterprises can result in true innovation, always driven by sustainability. They can say without a doubt that they paved the road for a new application of ozone. In reality, O-Zone enables them to achieve entirely new and long-lasting washing effects and discolorations. This project symbolizes their philosophy’s present and future, and it will be a tremendous step forward in denim treatment.
