Ternua’s Adrenalite SS 22 clothing line consists of recycled textiles

Ternua, a Spanish sportswear company, has employed recycled fabrics in 90% of their Adrenalite SS 22 clothing collection. The collection focusing on high aerobic intensity sports like trail running, e-biking, and light trekking, where lightness, transpirability, versatility, and compatibility are essential aspects, has been done very well by the brand’s innovation team.

The Adrenalite collection is a very technical collection designed for high aerobic intensity activities such as trail running, e-biking, and light hiking. 90% of the clothes in the collection is made from recycled materials, and their high degree of technicality is preserved.

Since the launch of this product line in 2015, the business has been introducing new highly functional, highly technological fabrics and treatments that are environmentally friendly and follow their roadmap of sustainable innovation.

The Adrenalite line’s light, adaptable, compactible, and extremely comfortable clothes designed to increase agility in exercises and enable quick changes in the movement include T-shirts, jackets, leggings, pants, shorts, and bermudas.

On the one hand, the recycled material chosen for the Adrenalite line in the Spring/Summer 2022 collection is the Dryshell Breathe, which has a high level of transpirability and swiftly transports perspiration outdoors, keeping your skin dry at all times. On the other hand, it features the Warmshell material, which helps retain warmth without adding weight while also providing high transpirability, rapid drying, and durability.

Microshell, an ultra-lightweight, extremely transpirable, and wind-blocking material is also utilized in the collection. Lastly, the line also includes another recycled textile- the StormFleece Pro. It’s one of the most creative fabrics on the market, and Ternua has been using it for several seasons since it provides excellent wind and rain protection, it’s highly transpirable and doesn’t have a membrane.

All of these fabrics are made from post-consumer plastic bottles that have been recycled. According to Ternua, they are mixed with the natural S-Café treatment, which is made from recycled coffee grounds and controls smells while also protecting against UV rays and are fast drying.

The Ternua commitment label can be seen on every product in the SS 2022 Adrenalite line. They’re made from recycled or biodegradable materials, organic cotton, or Bluesign-certified fabrics. The water repellent treatment used on the clothing is PFC-free, which means it doesn’t contain any substances that are toxic to the environment.
